Job Description: Warehouse Department Supervisorsat Dollar Tree are responsible for:
* Allocate work assignments, monitoring productivity of hourly associates and tracking productivity of associates
* Ensure quality goals are met and procedures are followed through various methods checks and audits
* Work alongside the Department Manager to ensure daily department goals are met
* Ensure proper training and/or re-training of associates
* Communicate information to associates relative to policies and procedures
* Ensure that associates questions and concerns are handled in an effective and timely manner
* Communicate associates questions and concerns to department manager
* Execute safety assurance techniques and maintain a safe working environment
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping
* Provide Department Manager with input regarding associates performance
* Recommend changes and revisions to facility operations and procedures including proposals to enhance efficiency, productivity and safety topics
* Ensure that all paperwork and daily logs are maintained
* Ensure adequate and accurate information is provided at shift changeover
* Performs varied duties depending on department assignment. Department assignment will change depending on Distribution Center needsWhat we need from you:
* Three (3) or more years experience in a high volume, automated distribution environment
* Ability to lead by example, mentor, develop, and foster a team environment are essential
* Ability to understand and demonstrate technical / equipment, and systems
* Ability to work any shift
