Title: Student Trainee - Engineering Location: United States-Illinois-East Peoria-EPEORIA17-East Peoria MIDO Job Number:_120007I4 The Student Trainee Program is for Peoria area and Decatur, IL high schools and community colleges. This program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while going to school. Responsibilities: High School / Junior College students considered for engineering positions should have a basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing principles, logistics, electronics, CAD and/or PRO-E. All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities vary from job to job, but may include: analysis and testing; project work on research and development; virtual reality and simulation technologies; and creating/revising graphics. Considerations include education or experience in the engineering field. In addition, successful performance requires sound judgment, motivation, effective interaction with others and the ability to handle an array of responsibilities. These positions are open to high school juniors/seniors and full-time junior college students only. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: * Must be 16 years of age * Must have and maintain a 2.8 / 4.0 GPA * Must be a full time student attending a Peoria area or Decatur, IL high school or community college * Must have reliable transportation In addition to apply to this opening online, student must complete a separate application packet that can be obtained from their school.
