Job Description JOB SUMMARY:
The District Retail Manager for Motorcycles develops and maintains a strong retail dealer network to meet and exceed corporate and district goals. Along with developing the dealer network the DRM will be accountable for retail growth, increasing market share, and building the brand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Building the Brand
. Identifying, selling and onboarding new dealers that meet the criteria of the Motorcycle division.
. Educate dealers on brand requirements and compliance
. Audit dealers stores for brand compliance - on every dealer call, review interior & exterior elements
. Manage share of floor, wall and displays for each motorcycle brand, ensure no cross branding or unapproved aftermarket products in displays
Driving Traffic / Closing Sales
. Work with dealers to execute a local marketing plan that drives local traffic
. Work with dealers to execute a social media plan that supports their dealership and is linked to the OEM
. Work with dealers to establish a sales process, that includes accy & app, and financial products
. Work with dealers to ensure retail, share, and growth goals are met in units, pga and financial products
Events, Demos, Educate
. Attend and support motorcycle events in your district (national if required)
. Work with dealers to execute an organized demo process year round (weather permitting)
. Work with dealers to hold know your bike" new owner education nights
. Work with dealers to have all dealership employees current on Training
Stock & Merchandise
. Work with dealers to manage their Motorcycle Stocking Profiles to maximize retail sales
. Work with dealers to stock their Branded motorcycle accessories & apparel
. Work with dealers to merchandise their branded accy & app in a compelling manner to maximize sales
Customer Experience
. Support dealers in improving their CSI scores for Sales & Service
. Support dealers in building and sustaining a local ride club
. Support dealers in building and sustaining an After sales process
. Manage/communicate district consumer issues - make sure people who resolve them are communicating and working towards resolution
Dealership Operations
. Ensure dealers are in the motorcycle twenty group
. Ensure dealers have established 5 profit centers and are submitting monthly financials
. Ensure dealers have the proper processes in place and remain financially viable
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent education
. 3-5 years of field sales, retail sales experience and sales administration capability with proven track record required
. Experience with 2-tier distribution network strategy
. Strong sales and influencing skills required
. Forecasting and analytical skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
. Extensive travel within district. Some travel to other locations and corporate functions may be required.
