MARKETING PLANNING ANALYST II - REQ #19781Date Posted:2/6/13 Job Code:AS02 City:Dallas State:TX Country:United States of America Category:Corporate Positions Job Type:RegularDescription WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT: Performs in depth analysis, identify trends, and extract meaningful information to understand Customer traffic and revenue behavior, bookings, marketshare, Customer behaviors and perceptions, and general industry trends. Demonstrates a sense of ownership by proactively monitoring system traffic and revenue trends to bring forth opportunities and concerns to ensure we remain on plan with our annual goals. Utililzes demand based metrics to provide a Marketing lens on system performance that includes, Customer segmentation development, business/leisure mix, loyalty engagement, metrics, business travel growth, among other metrics to develop revenue generating sales and Marketing plans. Serves as the Marketing representative on cross functional traffic and revenue Teams and is responsible for two-way flow of information between Marketing and Revenue Management. Actively engages with all Marketing functions, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Financial Planning and Analysis, and other entities regarding observed trends, system performance, and future direction; encompasses post-analysis of actions and forward-looking views. Provides strategic direction guiding business intelligence efforts, pricing policies, corporate efforts, sale plans and Customer development opportunities to drive traffic revenue and additional system goals. Distills complex, detailed issues and data down to easily understood, presentable, and actionable findings and creative solutions. Responsible for driving analysis on strategic projects/assignments. Is proactive in developing/maintaining critical relationships within Marketing and across all other Commercial functions including Network Planning, Revenue Management, and Financial Planning and Analysis. Actively engages in department''s monitoring efforts of competitive activity. Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external Customers. Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company. Has strong, professional communication skills and can interact effectively to all levels and internal/external Customers. May perform other job duties as directed by Employee''s imum Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. EDUCATION (Level, and degree if applicable) Four year college degree required Graduate degree preferred WORK EXPERIENCE: Prefer 2+ years of experience in airline analytics, management, and/or traffic and revenue analysis and planning or other related Marketing analytical experience. Experience with spreadsheets, databases, SQL, and database reporting tools is necessary SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE: Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines. Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team. Assignments are received in task oriented terms. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency. Must be Customer Service oriented. Must be a results-driven and action oriented individual. Must be a true Team player. Must show willingness to understand database reporting applications. Must possess strong PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Must be able to organize data and effectively communicate analysis in well written memos, charts, graphs, and/or presentations. Must be comfortable with handling confidential information and presenting/communicating directly to senior management. Must be able to work well under pressure and perform multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures.
