Schneider National, Inc., a $3 billion leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking an experienced sales person to manage its new business development in the Atlanta, GA market. Due to our recent record growth in the Georgia market, we are adding this person to our already outstanding sales staff in the Southeast. This person will be responsible for developing new relationships, closing new awards, and managing existing customers who move truckload freight. The Account Manager will be responsible for selling our over-the-road truckload portfolio that includes: Long Haul, Regional, and Expedited services. Due to our recent growth and our aggressive growth plans for 2012, we need an experienced salesperson who has outstanding prospecting and relationship building skills. This person will work closely with our Marketing, Sales, Pricing and Operations leadership to develop a territory marketing plan for 2012 to enable that growth. This role will also be supported by our award winning Customer Service teams in both Atlanta and Green Bay, Wisconsin. While we prefer to consider candidates with direct industry experience, we are actively seeking outstanding sales professionals who have the skills and abilities to quickly learn our industry and build outstanding relationships with our customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Develop a territory marketing and sales plan to meet the geographic needs of the business. · Spend significant time prospecting new customers and reinvigorating previous relationships. · Develop strong internal relationships with Customer Service, Planning & Dispatch, and Pricing. · Grow revenue and contribution base through adding new business, price increases, and improving transit expectations with customers.

Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor's degree and 3 years of proven sales experience required. · Experience working for a large, national service organization is highly preferred. · Trucking industry experience and knowledge specific to the truckload sector is preferred. · Excellent customer management and relationship building skills required. · Strong negotiation skills, preferably on multi-million dollar contracts is desirable. · Must be a self-starter who is extremely results oriented. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. · Superb presentation skills and experience delivered to front-line and senior management leaders at customers is required. · Excellent prospecting skills from research and qualification to development and close is expected. · Strong organizational skills. · Experience effectively using outstanding problem-solving skills and dealing with ambiguity.
