Purpose & general responsibilities of the position: Carrier management is a setup in Damco Shenzhen branch Ocean Product department with excellent learning opportunities. The Booking Management Coordinator will assist the branch ocean booking control tower leader to deliver an effective, centralized carrier management function. Key Responsibilities: - Secure branch level carrier operation excellence. - Timely respond to all carrier operations and emails to CUS team and Carrier. - Timely relay carrier booking confirmation to CUS team - Update CUS on ad hoc charges and special services request in a timely and complete manner. - Coordinate with carriers in a professional and timely manner, for any specific operation issues related to them. - Assist colleagues on possible challenges presented by carriers. - Print B/Ls and collect B/Ls from the carrier - Assist in Carrier Management Projects as requested by team leader Success criteria of the position: - Effective execution of carrier operations to deliver agreed Carrier/ and internal KPIs with CUS team. - Attend all communications quickly, and within 24 hrs - CUS team's satisfaction, specially timeliness and accuracy of information - Good communication and cooperation levels being maintained with related colleagues, and constantly striving to improve the procedures to all party's benefit. Learning opportunities in the position: - Interpersonal communication skills; - Customer service skills - Carrier and Logistics operations knowledge - Carrier systems knowledge - FACT Systems knowledge Specific requirements for the position: - Good communication skills - Ability to work fast - Shipping, 3PL logistics, or carrier booking experience Authority and powers reserved for: - Correspondence with external party - Attend training course approved by supervisor
