As part of the Damco International Graduate Programme, Damco, is currently hiring talented and highly motivated individuals in the role of Solution Design Engineer, Contract Logistics NAS Region.
Key Responsibilities: - Support Key Account Managers, Strategic Sales Managers and Logistics Operations to develop winning value propositions. Review and provide input to account and win plans - Attend Contribute to supply chain strategy and review workshops with customers - Share knowledge on new trends with internal and external stakeholders and eventually develop white papers - Pool and understand customer needs to develop commercial innovative solutions - Represent Damco in Supply Chain forum as required - Provide input to Solution Design tools/product development and methodology development - Contribute to complex supply chain optimization projects - Complete ad-hoc supply chain projects as requested by customers - Interact with the SCD global community to share your expertise and learn about new projects and initiatives to assist your regional target customers - Perform other position related duties as specified by management
Competencies Required: - Master supply chain management concepts - Awareness of new supply chain trends - Good business (including financial) acumen - Ability to communicate ideas and be able to understand and translate other's ideas into tangible initiatives - Proven facilitation skills - Expertise in supply chain optimization software - Ability to deliver quality analysis and presentations - Ability to work independently and also be a team player - Good project management capabilities
Experience Required: - Education and Experience · Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain management or any other similar discipline required · 2+ years of supply chain and/or logistics experience preferably in a logistics provider, multinational company or global consultancy - Technical Skills and Competencies Required - Conference participation as a speaker - Strong communication and English language skill
