Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Lean Manufacturing Supervisor in Danville, Kentucky.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Leading, facilitating, executing and managing projects to deliver significant cost saving by deploying DOS (Lean) tools and methodologies.
-Demonstrated ability to implement new techniques and continuous improvement programs at all levels of manufacturing operations. Acts as a Change Agent.
-Analytical approach to problem solving, including advance problem solving techniques (MBF, Shainin, DOE, etc.). Including LPA method to ensure that problems are put to rest.
-Provides the leadership, planning, and tools needed to eliminate non-value added activities within the two facilities. Applies Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, Set-up reduction, TPM, flow manufacturing, poke yoke error proofing, value stream mapping, time element measurement, standard work) and process management skills to identify and implement continuous improvement activities within the facility. Provides hands-on leadership and facilitation of these activities.
-Works directly with Management Teams to ensure that the highest value opportunities are implemented first and that successive opportunity plans build on and compound previous results. Coordinates and pulls-in resources from the various departments to those projects. Follows-up regularly. KPIs will include those found on the Dana Diamond Board and Area Scorecards, etc.
-The DOS Coordinator is responsible for providing an environment which promotes employee involvement and empowerment throughout the facility. Creates and maintains a work environment that contributes to positive morale and employee development.
-Facilitates training and development in lean manufacturing techniques (5S, Set-up reduction, TPM, flow manufacturing, poke yoke error-proofing, problem solving, and root cause and corrective action, value stream mapping, time element measurement, standard work) across two facilities. Uses Facility resources to assist with this activity.
