The Hilton Santo Domingo is the newest addition to Hilton Caribbean's business hotel collection. The 21-floor tower-style hotel is the leading business and conference hotel in Santo Domingo, the Caribbean's second-largest capital city and is just 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport (Santo Domingo). Located on El Malecon, Santo Domingo's ocean-view boulevard, the hotel includes 228 mostly oceanfront guest rooms, all with high-speed Internet access and floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing views of the Caribbean Sea. Guest rooms on six Executive Floors offer free newspapers, surround sound music in bathrooms, MP3 alarm clocks and luxury amenities. Guests staying in these rooms have access to the 20th floor Executive Lounge, which serves complimentary breakfast, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Recreational facilities include a spacious health club and 7th floor swimming pool with pool bar and large sundeck. The property boasts the largest casino in Santo Domingo and anchors The Malecon Center, a mixed-use complex for retail shopping, cinema, and commercial office space. For dining, the property features elevated food and beverage outlets including Sol y Sombra Restaurant and Bar plus the Vista Bar and Lounge. What will I be doing?
The Front Office Department is the main connection point between guests and the hotel as well as other hotel departments. Check ins/check outs, guest requests, concierge services and promotion of in-house activities are all handled here. It influences a guest's first impressions of the hotel so everything must always be at it's very best. Specific responsibilities include: * Welcome and check in of guests, including processing of group arrivals * Check out departing guests using the hotel's accounting system * Be seen as a main point of contact for guests, dealing efficiently with enquiries and any complaints * Keep up to date on all hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers as well as daily VIPs and special events * Maximise Sales revenues through up selling and marketing programmes * General switchboard duties including taking of reservations * Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest serviceWhat are we looking for?
