Operations Supervisor Trainee - Transportation Your previous managerial skills from fields such as military, transportation, logistics, or manufacturing, coupled with our six month training program, will prepare you for success throughout our 22 state rail network. The program entails online, classroom, and on the job field training to develop working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, federal regulations, hazardous materials handling, and corporate policies. Must be willing to work in a 24/7 operations environment, enjoy working outdoors, and show a commitment to safety. Norfolk Southern offers a competitive starting salary of $52,000 with a promotional increase after successful completion of the six month training program. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus and an excellent benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, pension, life insurance, 401(k), and tuition assistance.
