This position is responsible for the planning, organizing, and monitoring of the receiving and shipping departments. Supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. * Supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. * Manages the inter-departmental transport of materials. * Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of production employees, ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to develop and produce products and materials. * Maintains equipment structure and level to accomplish the production mission in a safe, effective manner. Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe production of all materials. Researches equipment to ensure procurement of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability and cost. * Confers with Director of Logistics to establish production and quality control standards and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered. * Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment. * Develops and implements operating methods for shipping and receiving * Safety leadership * Quality improvements Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree * 2- 4 years experience in a manufacturing * 3 years experience as a supervisor * 5 years experience in Shipping/Receiving
