Title: Vehicle Operations (Motor pool) Manager Location: US-NY-West Point Other Locations: We are seeking aVehicle Operations (Motor pool) Manager at West Point, NY.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
· Managing a 24 hour dispatch office within budgetary constraints · Supervise union and non-union, part time and full time employees · Government drivers licensing and testing · Oversee the scheduling of resources · Oversee billing and time keeping · Conduct vehicle inventory and inspections · Ensuring employee perform to contractual requirements · Accident reduction and enforcing safety measures · Hiring, training and disciplinary actions of employees · Adherence to all contractual requirements, government regulations and laws governing the motor pool including Department of Labor, DOT and OSHA. · Contract deliverables for all Motor pool functions. · Maintaining a safe, clean and serviceable vehicle fleet MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have military transportation experience · Must be proficient in MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access · Ability to obtain a Military AKO account · Must be familiar with CDL requirements and DoT laws and regulations · Must be able to juggle several high priorities at once · Must be able to effectively communicate; verbally and in writing · Must be able develop policies and procedures using proper grammar. · Must be able to organize and prioritize work activities
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5-10 years experience working in an Army motor pool · 5-10 years experience supervising union employees · Familiarity with building and managing MS Access databases. · Currently have or previously held a commercial drivers license · Experience hiring personnel
