Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment in compliance with Company policy and D.O.T. regulations.

• Drive tractor-trailers to and from job sites, inspect loads and machinery for transport, and verify transportation permits for accuracy.

• Participate in work plan discussions to ensure safe and efficient completion of daily assignments, including active involvement in daily safety briefings.

• Load, unload, and stage materials/equipment for work activities, ensuring safe transportation and participating in site clean-up.

• Assist in assembling, inspecting, and operating cranes and other equipment, following standard operational procedures and safety regulations.Operate heavy equipment (e.g., cranes, backhoes, excavators) for lifting, rerailing, load transfer, and track maintenance/repair.

• Use hydraulic tools, welding equipment, and common hand tools to complete assigned tasks.

• Continuously monitor equipment/vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.

• Perform minor service on equipment/vehicles and report complex mechanical issues to the Shop Manager/foreman for repair.

• Assist in disassembling/loading of cranes and other equipment at the end of job assignments.

• Restock vehicles/equipment with necessary parts, components, and supplies for future work.
