Freelance Art Driving Specialist, NON CDL, Crozier

Do you believe art has the power to change the way we see the world? If so, you understand the important role of everyone who touches art in all its forms, and we'd welcome your application to join Crozier Fine Arts' dynamic and growing team. As an important liaison between clients and company managers, Freelance Art Driving Specialists provide leadership and guidance during projects, ensuring the safe handling of artworks for packing/crating, in transit, and during onsite projects. In addition, our drivers are responsible for ensuring the safety of all items during transit.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Pay: $20.00 -$25.00/HR

• Schedule: Start Time between 3am to 7am, 30 hours per week

• Location: Davie, FL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate

• Install/de-install artworks during onsite projects using proper techniques and tools

• Assist on rigging/heavy object movement with Gantry/Forklift/Crane or other specialized equipment

• Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit

• Plan the organization and packing of trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects

• Conduct inspection reports for various types of art objects

• Lead a team, providing guidance and coaching during projects

• Act as liaison while onsite between clients and company management

• Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not onsite

• Safely operate company vehicle; transport art to their destinations

• Perform all required truck inspections

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: high school diploma. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

• 2 + years experience within the fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry

• Industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials

• Experienced in operation of Gantry and Rigging equipment

• Speak effectively to clients and coworkers

• Strong attention to detail, discretion, and follow-through

• Team player, with the ability to lead and effectively communicate instructions. Additionally, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure

• Lift and move heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bend, kneel, crouch, stand

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to safely operate 26-ft box truck, at minimum

• Valid driver's license

• Clean/Clear driving record with ability to pass all driving check

• CDL license not required but preferred

• Travel: Local = 95% Overnight = 5%
