Schedule:

2nd Shift = 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM; Monday - Friday

OR

3rd Shift = 10 PM - 6 AM; Sunday - Thursday

Team or Function Overview

Our Shipping team falls under the leadership of our Supply Chain department, which plays a very important role in our organization. The skilled members of this department are responsible for inventory management and control, raw materials, transportation planning and scheduling, and shipping finished goods.

Summary

We are looking for an experienced forklift driver to join our team at our plant in Myerstown, PA. The Loader is a key contributor to the Shipping department, and is responsible for verifying the accuracy of shipments, transporting product to the appropriate staging area, and loading trucks with finished goods.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Verifying shipments for correct product type, color and quantify

• Pulling products in the correct order for loading onto truck or rail

• Completing the loading process and filling out the required paperwork

• Perform duties in compliance with GAF safety policies and procedures

Physical Demands

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds

• Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Frequent sitting, walking, and standing; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing

• Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery

• Must be able to drive a forklift which requires sitting for long periods of time, as well as the ability to use arms and legs to work the controls, breaks, and steering wheel
