    Responsibilities

    Weatherford is hiring a Material Handler for our West Greens Road facility in Houston. The Material Handler will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Weatherford provides training, excellent benefits and fantastic career progression.

    The Warehouse Material Handler will utilize mechanical and electronic processing equipment to move material to and from trucks or containers within a warehouse facility. Responsible for the loading and unloading of materials and coordinates the transfer of raw materials, parts and finished products between various production areas. Records flow information of materials and products and ensures the accuracy and timely execution to meet customer requirements. In addition, Warehouse Material Handler may provide training to lower level material handlers. Requires a high school diploma and typically reports to supervisor or manager. Being a Warehouse Material Handler works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • This is a day shift position starting at 7 AM to approximately 4 PM, over-time is requirement, there is not a second shift or corresponding shift differential paid

    • Overtime as needed

    • Will be unloading & loading trucks

    • Placing incoming orders on shelves

    • Picking merchandise according to specific customer requirements

    • Monitoring inventory and communicating any shortages

    • Receiving and processing new shipments of materials and goods

    • Recording inventory data in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and a Warehouse Management System (WMS)

    • Wrapping, securing and staging goods for shipment

    • Disposing of waste and transport dunnage

    • Ensuring receiving, putting, picking, packing and shipment accuracy to meet client requirements

    • Other assigned duties.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • 1+ years related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

    • Proficient in basic warehouse processing equipment (Tablets/iPads/Handheld Scanners/Printers)

    • Oral and written communication skills

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Basic mechanical processing equipment (Basic forklift skills/Pallet jacks -powered and unpowered/Wrapping machines/scales)

    • Should be able to work closely and collaboratively with fellow employees

    • Must have the ability to handle materials and work in a warehouse.

    • Must have the ability to work overtime when needed.
