    Responsibilities

    Under direction of the Materials Management Manager/Supervisor this position is responsible for cost containment in the entire procedural care area. Inclusive of all supply storage areas, the Lawson Webtool request and inventory control. Actively confirms all incoming deliveries of stock and nonstock supplies, equipment and services.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    2 years or more experience working within a surgery department at a large healthcare system.

    Demonstrate clear understanding of medical inventory/equipment management.

    Preferred/Desired:

    3-5 years previous Materials Management related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse.

    Licensure:

    • Valid state driver license

    • Certified Surgery Tech preferred

    • Certified Central Service Tech preferred

    Software:

    Competent in Microsoft Office Suite

    Education:

    Minimum Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred/Desired:

    • AA Degree/Bachelors in business management, Supply Chain highly desired

    • Lawson Materials Management Information System

    Special Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English. Good numerical skills a must.

    • Sound customer service techniques and practices, ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external partners at all levels both verbal and written, remain calm and courteous while handling problems, comfortable as a team member and informational leader, knowledge of Materials Management.
