CSX to pay $3 million in sex discrimination settlement

CSX Transportation Inc. will pay $3.2 million to settle a sex discrimination brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a federal agency. CSX Transportation, a division of Jacksonville-based CSX Corp., was accused of requiring strength-related tests for jobs ranging from conductors to clerks, tests which favored male applicants in the EEOC suit brought last August.
